7th Annual Ice Magic International Ice Sculpture Competition
January 19 - 21, 2001
Ice Magic is a yearly ice carving competition held at Lake Louise, Alberta, Canada. The team competition is held in front of the Chateau Lake Louise.
This year each team is given 15 blocks of ice to carve their works of art from. Each block weighs 300 lbs.
This is the forth year I have attended Ice Magic. This year I spent the weekend at Lake Louise, staying at Deer Lodge. I was able to get quite a few pictures of the ice carvings as they were being constructed. I also took pictures of a few ice carvings that were not in the competition, you can view them here.
